Challenge
With the release of the Momentum Jogging Stroller, we aimed to develop a series of functional accessories, such as a snack tray, parent caddy and rain cover, to further meet the needs of users.
SNACK TRAY
Market Research & Brainstorm
I began with competitive research in order to get a good understanding of the current snack tray market. Once I collected information about price, features, user reviews, I was able to identify pain points of these products. I then shared them with the team and held a brainstorming session to address these pain points via sketching and doodling.

Concept Sketches
5 sketch concepts were proposed and 3 were selected to be 3D modeled and prototyped.
Prototyping & User Testing
In collaboration with engineering, 3 prototypes were developed.
2 selected prototypes were tested for ergonomics at Concordia, a university that we had an partnership with. We proceeded with the compact swivel tray design for form review.
Form Development
We ultimately landed on this simple pill shape design, borrowing aesthetics from the profile of the stroller frame. The chamfered cupholder ring also mimics the surfacing of the nose of the stroller. The final form design was then 3D-printed for further review.
