Hi, my name is Allen Chou and I am a product development manager turned industrial designer with 6+ years of experience across diverse corporate environments. I have a passion for physical products and appreciate all the little details that go into design. I find storytelling to be an invaluable tool for communicating ideas and bridging understanding. I strongly believe in iterative user testing and product refinement to ensure the solution is battle-tested. I have a strong focus when working independently but I also embrace teamwork and collaboration.

Having worked for startups and a global firm, I have developed strong communication, research, & collaboration skills working with users, clients, partners and colleagues from the U.S. and Japan. My work experience enabled me to see and understand products from the perspective of sales, marketing, manufacturers and consumers, all of which contributes to the success of a product. My personal experience living in two different countries (Taiwan & U.S.) has helped shape my perspective in communicating across cultures and being empathetic towards user needs.

Outside of design, I enjoy playing basketball, photography, and spending time with my wife and our dog.
